A direct guide to the current console preorder options, platform-scoped prices, physical code format, preload rules, GTA+ terms, and what remains unconfirmed.
Last updated
GTA 6 preorders are currently listed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on Rockstar's current pages and the checked US platform stores. On the US stores, Standard is listed at $79.99 and Ultimate at $99.99; Xbox displays these as $79.99+ and $99.99+. The physical game currently offered is Standard code-in-box: the box contains a digital download code, not a disc. Digital preorders can preload from November 10, 2026 (local midnight on PS5, 12:00 AM GMT on Xbox), up to 212 GB; a physical code can support preload only after the box is received and the code is redeemed. Eligible digital purchases made before November 20, 2026 include one month of GTA+. After that month, GTA+ normally renews at the regular monthly price unless canceled before the next charge; platform account, claim, redemption, age, and country-store terms apply. A PC preorder, PC price, and PC preload remain unconfirmed.

Current status
Decision table
| What the player sees | What it is | Current scoped status | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|---|
| Digital Standard | Base digital game | PS US $79.99; Xbox US $79.99+. An eligible purchase can include one month GTA+; it normally renews at the regular monthly price afterward unless canceled before the next charge. | Global price parity, tax, stock, or a universal GTA+ entitlement. |
| Digital Ultimate | Digital game plus the currently listed Ultimate content | PS US $99.99; Xbox US $99.99+. An eligible purchase can include one month GTA+; it normally renews at the regular monthly price afterward unless canceled before the next charge. | That every item has proven gameplay value, identical worldwide terms, or a physical Ultimate. |
| Physical Standard — Code-in-Box | Box containing a digital download code | No disc. Rockstar Store showed a region-specific €79.99 price during the accepted check; local price and availability vary. | Offline disc installation, resale rights, retailer inventory, shipping date, or GTA+ inclusion. |
| Ultimate Upgrade | Separate platform add-on path | Xbox US currently lists $20.00 PRE-ORDER; the PlayStation add-on currently shows Unavailable. | One universal price, equal availability, or an explanation for the platform difference. |
| Vice City Collection Collector's Box | Merchandise collection | Rockstar states game sold separately. | A game edition, a physical Ultimate Edition, a disc, or game access. |
The answer is platform- and region-specific. The US platform pages support the USD prices above; Rockstar Store can show another currency and physical offer. Use the current price for your account and local store. GTA Leonida Kit does not sell the game, certify a retailer, calculate tax, or provide checkout. Players who need platform scope can open GTA 6 Platforms; that page does not replace this preorder answer.
“Physical” currently describes the box and delivery of a code, not a disc. Digital preorders can preload from November 10. A physical buyer must first receive the box and redeem its code; that means the official preload date is not a promise about retailer delivery. Preload is not early access, and the accepted sources do not establish one global unlock time, file size, download speed, or server capacity.
Eligible digital Standard or Ultimate purchases made before November 20, 2026 include one month of GTA+, once per platform account. On PlayStation, claim by March 31, 2027; country-store, age, and account rules apply. On Xbox, redeem within 180 days of purchase or preorder; an age-restricted child account cannot redeem it. GTA+ normally renews at the regular monthly price after the included month unless canceled before the next charge. Do not apply this benefit broadly to physical copies.
The checked first-party GTA 6 pages currently support PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. They do not provide a PC preorder, price, preload, storefront, requirements, performance details, or release date. This does not mean a PC version will never exist. For the standalone status, use GTA 6 PC Release Status.
Choose the exact platform account and region first. Then verify the edition, digital or code-in-box format, final currency and price, tax, stock, delivery, refund terms, and code compatibility on the store or retailer page you intend to use. If an offer mixes Collector's Box merchandise with game access, promises a disc, or asks you to download an unofficial installer, stop and use GTA 6 Scam Warning.
October 2, 2026 — Replaced stale July/June currency, separated game editions, platform upgrades, physical code-in-box format, and the game-sold-separately Collector's Box; refreshed preload, GTA+, and PC boundaries.
Official item reference
These official media references help identify source-listed item labels by group. Use them to understand what has been named, then keep gameplay value, stats, rarity, unlock timing, mission impact, and purchase value separate from the images.
How to use the item reference
Use this section as a source-label reference, not a value ranking. Rockstar Support and accepted source records can support item labels, edition grouping, physical format wording, upgrade-path boundaries, and platform terms. They do not confirm item strength, weapon damage, vehicle performance, rarity, mission impact, Online economy value, exact local pricing, or whether an item will matter to your play style.
Item labels are not gameplay value
Item labels are official/source-supported names or groups. Gameplay value is different: a label can tell you what an accepted source lists, but not how strong, rare, useful, expensive, or important the item will feel in play. Start with the group that matches your question, then check the does-not-confirm note before treating an item as a reason to upgrade.
Who should care
Base-game only: start with Standard and wait for reviews.
Bonus-item curious: review the Ultimate item groups.
Physical buyer: read no-disc and upgrade notes.
Subscription-sensitive: read GTA+ terms.
PC-only: wait; do not treat console edition media as PC confirmation.

Ultimate Edition is the main source-listed premium edition path. Use this group to understand which labels are attached to Ultimate, what the separate Ultimate Edition Upgrade means, and why the item list still should not be treated as gameplay-value proof.
